Every year, the Science Film Festival makes science education accessible and engaging for more than 500,000 children around the world, teaching them about scientific, technological, and environmental issues through interactive experiences. In 2025, Play Africa is excited to partner again with the Goethe-Institut to bring the annual Science Film Festival Family Day to families in Johannesburg. The Science Film Festival Family Day will take place at the Goethe-Institut, 119 Jan Smuts Ave, Parkwood, on Saturday, November 22, from 12:00 to 18:00.
This year’s theme is Green Jobs, and visitors to the Family Day can learn about the innovation and possibility of careers related to sustainable futures through hands-on activities, interactive discussions and engaging film screenings.
This event is open to all families. Whether you are already passionate about science or just curious about green jobs, the Science Film Festival Family Day is a chance for everyone to play, watch, learn and discover!
